71lbs offers third-party shipping insurance coverage to our customers. You choose which shipments to protect as you create your shipping label based upon your own needs, not the needs of the carrier.
Our customers prefer 71lbs shipping insurance vs the carriers' Declared Value option, as they feel like the carriers are judge and jury, making the claims process with declared value more difficult to get their due refunds back.
In addition, our shipping insurance is typically 20%-40% lower than the carriers' declared value.
